Director of Rehabilitation

Laura T. Austin, P.T., M.S., DPT, C/NDT, NCS

As director of rehabilitation for Select Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton, Laura T. Austin, P.T., M.S., DPT, C/NDT, NCS, oversees therapy services and staff, program development and the accreditation process for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Previously, Laura was the lead inpatient rehabilitation physical therapist and outpatient services clinic manager. She has 16 years’ experience with neurologic, orthopedic and vestibular conditions. In addition, Laura received specialized assessment and interventional training and holds certifications in vestibular therapy, neurologic specialties and neurodevelopmental treatments.

She earned a doctorate and master’s degree in physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Laura received a Bachelor of Science in pre-medicine/pre-dentistry degree from Southern Wesleyan University. She is completing a Master of Science in management and leadership and expects to graduate in May 2022.

She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
