    • Ekso Bionics Exoskeleton: A wearable robotic device that helps a patient stand and move their legs. It can be used to both help a patient regain their ability to walk independently or resume normal walking patterns.     • Hocoma ArmeoSpring: A robotic arm that supports the weight of a patient’s arm and helps the muscles move while they engage in interactive therapy. This device helps strengthen muscles, improve coordination and increase the range of motion needed for activities such as eating and getting dressed. Available at Select Rehabilitation of Denton.
     
    • Hocoma Andago: A robotic device with an over-the-head harness that assists patients who are relearning to walk. The harness supports their body weight while they focus on balance and technique. Available at Select Rehabilitation of Denton.
    • Ceiling ambulation track: An overhead track and harness system that supports a patient’s body weight while preventing them from falling. This allows the patient to work on posture, endurance and walking techniques in a safe environment. Available at Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital at Lutheran Hospital.
    • Bioness Integrated Therapy System (BITS): A large touch screen digital display with programmed exercises to improve the physical, visual and cognitive (thinking) abilities of patients. Available at Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital at Lutheran Hospital.
    • Multi-Sensory Vision Integrator: A large touch screen digital display system that uses multiple cues – audio and on screen images/signals – to improve visual skills, eye-hand coordination, thought processing and balance. Available at Select Rehabilitation of Denton.
    • Kessler Foundation Prism Adaptation Treatment (KF-PAT): Specialized goggles equipped with optical prisms that help patients with spatial neglect. Spatial neglect is a neurological disorder that causes people to recognize stimuli on only one side of their body. For instance, if drawing an image of a house, they may only draw half a house.     • Synchrony: A therapy system to help patients visualize swallow movements. Electrodes are placed outside the throat to stimulate muscles and provide onscreen visuals showing how well the swallowing muscles are working.     • Pharyngeal Electrical Stimulation: Therapy that uses low-frequency electrical current, passing through external electrodes on the neck, to stimulate inactive swallowing muscles. Available at Select Rehabilitation of Denton.
       
     
    • XSensor Pressure Mapping: A device that uses electronic sensors to measure the amount of pressure between a patient’s body and a surface, such as a bed or wheelchair seat. Pressure mapping systems help clinicians select an appropriate wheelchair cushion to help protect a patient from damaging their skin. Available at Select Rehabilitation of Denton.
    • Virtualis Virtual Reality: Therapy that uses a virtual reality headset to simulate specific environments where a patient will react to situations using their senses, movements and balance. Available at Select Rehabilitation of Denton.
